Blitz Vega release album Northern Gentleman, a fitting tribute to band member Andy Rourke who sadly passed last year as the record neared completion. Blitz Vega release new single ‘Lost Myself’, a song which perfectly encapsulates the whirlwind of emotions that have emerged from the Blitz Vega story. Its verses possess a taut intensity, with Kav’s hushed vocals expressing the full vulnerability of the lyrics. But then the song takes flight into its hook, with sorrowful strings and gospel-tinged vocal harmonies supporting the raw feeling of th words. The track’s climactic guitar solo takes it somewhere else entirely, evoking the catharsis of beginning to come to terms with such a loss.

Blitz Vega, the project of the late Andy Rourke and Kav Sandhu, second single 'Love City' from their upcoming album 'Northern Gentlemen' (Sept24), following first release 'Disconnected'. As Rourke’s posthumous album, Northern Gentlemen is a bittersweet celebration of the impact he had on the music world.

After the great Andy Rourke passed away in May 2023, his Blitz Vega bandmate and co-founder Kav Sandhu vowed to complete the project to fulfil Andy’s wish to see the album released and for people to hear the music they had spent so many years recording. It was a proud but bittersweet moment when, on what would’ve been Andy’s 60th birthday, Blitz Vega announced details of the ‘Northern Gentleman’ album along with its April 26th release date. Now Blitz Vega further preview the record by sharing the new single ‘Disconnected’.
