Barefoot on the Seine the new track from Blue Violet, was inspired by witnessing protests in Chicago and Europe – is a schizophrenic dispatch from the edges of a Parisian riot: its verses lost in graceful Gallic romance; its choruses all grunge rock eruptions; its whole a righteous call to arms in support of essential personal freedoms.

'Imagine Me' the new track from Blue Violet, released during a run of sold out UK shows this summer. The track takes electronic influences from the 80s with the bass synth driving the track, and a guitar riff that drops in and out throughout to a rousing finale.

Blue Violet’s latest single, ‘Boogie Shoes’, is a gritty yet vibrant anthem that encapsulates the essence of their upcoming album, ‘Faux Animaux‘. With a sound reminiscent of Queens Of The Stone Age infused with St. Vincent’s eclectic style.

Glastonbury bound

Glastonbury 2023 returns on June 21st and will include performances by Blue Violet and Sharon Shannon.

Blue Violet take to the Strummerville stage whilst Sharon Shannon takes to the Acoustic Stage on Saturday alongside Glen Hansard, Glenn Tilbrook & Badly Drawn Boy amongst others.

2022 has brought new releases from Blue Violet in the shape of “Poster Girl” (Jan) and sublime and minimalist ballad “Rabbit Hole” (Mar) . ‘Poster Girl’ is a twisting ballad that touches on the fickleness of fame, the fight for feminist rights and finding your own way. ‘Rabbit Hole’ tackles issues of addiction and powerlessness. Blue Violet continue their upward trajectory with a set of diverse and intricately crafted genre-crossing songs of beauty, heartbreak and love. 

April 29th will see the release of their debut album “Late Night Calls” together with a UK tour.
