Internationally acclaimed Scottish singer-songwriter JJ 'Jinky' Gilmour made his recording debut in 1989 with The Silencers, one of Scotland’s most loved bands who enjoyed great success throughout Europe and America.

Seven action-packed years of gigging and recording ensued during which The Silencers had gold albums and sold almost a million records for BMG/RCA. After this successful period with the band, JJ decided he needed to take on new challenges and embarked upon his solo career.

The new sound of urban India The Tapi Project is a continuous revival and re-telling of stories and themes that make up modern India. A musical subculture of the modern, the ancient and the undefinable present, told through poetry, song and powerful performances.

To define a sound is the very antithesis of The Tapi Project philosophy, but carries a mix of traditional, funk and folk on a hypnotic contemporary tribal groove.

Acclaimed Scottish actor Blythe Duff has covered 'Glasgow Town', a song penned by songwriter JJ Gilmour formerly of Glasgow pop band The Silencers. Blythe has made an accompanying 6 minute video, described as ‘an homage to Taggart, and a love letter to Glasgow’, the film echoes the opening credits and gritty underworld scenes of the long-running cop show.

Tom Baxter - Beyond Paradise

We are pleased to welcome Tom Baxter, to the Wardlaw stable. Over the past twenty years tom has been an artist / songwriter / performer and producer.

His artist career spans across four critically acclaimed albums and he is known for his spellbinding performance and soulful approach to the art of songwriting

A formidable guitarist in his own right, his talent has attracted many big names to work with over the years and he has toured extensively around the globe.

Tom composed the film score for ‘Costa Rica: A Forest Reborn' (2021). The four part nature documentary won awards and plaudits for its powerful portrayal of costa rica’s progress against the climate crisis.

Recently Tom has scored the acclaimed BBC Drama series ‘Beyond Paradise’, the sequel to the award winning series ‘Death in Paradise’.
